  • Buddhism evolved and grew in numbers throughout Asia including China, Japan, Tibet, Korea, and vietnam. 
  • In the 1st century C.E. the Buddha in human form had suffered in South Asia known as Gandhara. 
  • Mhayana Buddhism-englightenment that was availabel to everyone 
  • Bodhisattva also known as Guanyin in China, was known as a women with femanine characteristics ("the one who hears the cries of the world")
  • "Laughing Buddha" is a fat, smiling figure named Budai.
  • Jesus and Buddha sought to revitalize the traditions from which they had come, rather than founding a new religion.
  • Jesus never looked at himself of higher class
  • Buddha saw himself as an enlightened but fully human being. He eventually became a superntural being.
